Below are some of our collected works of poetry and fiction, in no particular order.

Fiction

♡☆Sheer Heart Attack Cordelia!♡☆ and the Infernal Little Mess

8930 words

Our oldest work that we feel is worth its salt, though it's still appropriately rough around the edges. A career magical girl early in her transition faces college, grief, and giant raccoons.

CW: mentions of gender dysphoria, suicidal ideation, strangulation (a monster doing it to the protagonist)

Second Appraisal of the Rabbit Hole

8400 words

A low fantasy about portal otherworlds and toxic relationships. Allusive to Alice in Wonderland in some ways, but not in others.

CW: questionable consumption of alcohol, discussion of toxic relationships

viscera

315 words

A science fiction slice of life about an amphibious retail worker in the far-flung future.

CW: suicidal ideation, depiction of unsanitary work hazard

Party Police

1282 words

A flowy prose piece about concerts, written at a time before we were afraid of crowds. The title is a strange one, taken from a song by Alvvays. We'd change it if we gave a damn.

The Other Choice

5030 words

A high fantasy oddity bogged down by lofty words and shaky worldbuilding. Themes of faith, choice, and lesbian homoeroticism. Worth a look if that's your thing, perhaps.

The Gallery

408 words

A short science fiction story about portraits, numbers, missing pieces, and strange feelings. Set in a Kafkaesque afterlife. Has all the marks of being written by a newbie writer, but we feel no need to conceal it from anyone.

The image described in the story, 11692-492, is a real portrait by Todd Hido, and was on display at the National Portrait Gallery in London from 16 November 2017 to 8 February 2018.

The Damn Thing

2222 words

A supernatural slice of life about writer's block.

Old Tin Cans

1883 words

An older work that we still find some satisfaction in. Very much a tribute to Gravity Falls. In it, a city employee meets with the owner of a tourist trap one final time.

The Prisoner

1130 words

An Amphibia fanfiction we wrote back in 2021. Like many of our works, it's dialogue-driven and rather short. In it, two friends are reunited in an interrogation room, but they aren't seeing eye to eye.

Yet So Far

1197 words

An Owl House fanfiction written in 2020. In a short and fluffy scene, two pining young lovers share a tender moment, but doubt that their feelings are reciprocated.

What You Wanted

2138 words

An Amphibia fanfiction, and a personal favorite of ours; self-indulgent and dramatic rubbish. A pair of friends, separated by distance and emotion, dream of each other and their failures.

Content warnings in file. Major ones include mild depiction of blood and implied child death

Poetry

apologia

"An apologia, if you're wondering, is not a variety of insect. Neither is it a type of cancerous tumor. It's an apology. In other words, it's not worth the paper it's written on." - Pseudonymous Bosch
